Cassiobury started the game with only 10 men but from the outset it was not apparent. End to end action as both teams played an excellent first half, great defending and attacking by Cassiobury notably G. Payne as he was out of position playing centre back and went on to earn Man of the Match. D. Wood made a fantastic goal line clearance to deny Finchley their first goal. Goalie A. Gran read the game well keeping the score 0-0 at half time.Second half continued well. H. Flesch and K. Demetriou played well up front with J. Smith linking up to make chances. Unfortunately 25 minutes in Finchley scored and again 5 minutes later. Cassiobury’s heads didn’t go down and three minutes later were rewarded an excellent goal from a free kick by K. Demetriou which was headed home by H. Flesch. The game ended 1-2 but 100% effort was given by all.

Game started even H.Flesch had an early chance at goal .18 minutes in Everett score 1-0.Cassiobury reply with R.Shodeinde hitting the cross bar, but minutes later 2-0 Everetts with simple balls through the middle catching Cassiobury out.27 Minutes and it’s 3 and then 31 minutes same again straight through the middle and 4-0 Everett’s.Second half started a bit more positive for Cassiobury as D.Farrell has a great shot but denied a goal.Again Cassiobury letting the ball past them too easily and it’s 5,6 7-0 halfway through the second half.A consolation goal for Cassiobury as G.Payne strikes well and makes it 7-1The game continued in the same manner as Everett’s eventually won 9-1 Neither team played well and it was hard to choose a man of the match from the Cassiobury team.

Cassiobury found themselves 1-0 down after 5 minutes as both teams came out lively and played good passing football.London Colney started to show their strengths and A .Gran made a handful of good saves.Cassiobury’ s midfield pushed foward with good play from K .Demetriou making a break and strong moves from H .Flesh, G. Payne and R. Shodeinde all being denied goals chances as London Colney’s back markers did their job.25 minutes in, Cassiobury 2-0 down ,both teams playing fairly even until half time, with missed chances but some good individual skills and players trying.Second half started with 2 shoots just wide of the Cassiobury goal as A.Gran does well to cover until LC get lucky with a deflection off the left post, 3-0.Still pushing foward P.Curran had a good game trying to get the ball back into LC half .During the second half LC started to open up the Cassiobury side and the game was over as the score within 20 minutes went 4-0 to 11-0 .Despite the score line A.Gran the Cassiobury goalie had a fairly good game and deserved the man of the match award

Cassiobury played at the beginning of the half as a team with good movement despite the wet conditions making the pitch heavy going ,against the run of play finding themselves 1-0 down after 10 minutes.Good passing and a through ball lined K. Demetriou to tap the ball in making it 1-1 after 12 minutes. An even game was developing, until after 25minutes J. Smith hit the ball from the right hand side of goal putting the ball out of the keepers reach 2-1 Cassiobury. K. Demetriou had another shot on goal after a deflection off Finchley’s defender denied J. Moyes a shot on target.Finchley were also testing Cassiobury’s defence with continual sweeping by Cassiobury’s captain C. Wheelan helped by G. Kavanagh, D. Wood, D. Petty and B. Gomm. Goalie A. Gran making some good saves using the whole of his box. Just before half time J. Smith, again from the right hit the ball past the Finchley keeper 3-1 Cassiobury.Second half Cassiobury had the advantage of playing slightly down hill but soon found Finchley fighting back, 3-2, despite A. Gran making a few good saves keeping Cassiobury ahead early in the half. The weather’s deterioration was nearly as bad as Cassiobury’s defence and midfield as they suddenly found themselves from being ahead to 8-3 down as Finchley walked past them and scored six goals in 20 minutes.Final score Cassiobury 3 Finchley 8 The rain had became too heavy to allow an in depth team talk ,it was postponed until the next training session, this avoided the difficult task of picking man of the match!

A lively start with good passing from both teams, but it was Cassiobury’s R. Scodeinde within 10 minutes scoring an easy goal, tapping the ball past the keeper.A couple of minutes later J. Smith made it 2-0 with again a simple touch side footed past the goalie.Croxley tried to push forward and the Cassiobury defence stood strong with Captain C. Whelan across the back heading the ball away.Good passing rewarded Cassiobury with their third goal as J. Noyes and J. Smith shooting from close range, eventually J. Smith hit the net 3-0 at half time.Cassiobury played well in the first half but did have the advantage of playing slightly down hill, which initially did not work to Croxley’s advantage, as J. Noyes again put a simple ball past their keeper, 4-0.Croxley then found a new lease of life and Cassiobury’s defence found themselves busy, within 15 minutes Croxley pulled back to 4-3.Excellent saves from A. Gran, pushing the ball over his net twice and a couple of great stops avoiding Cassiobury going behind as Croxley found themselves taking advantage of both playing down hill and Cassiobury’s sudden weak spot in mid field. With less than 10 minutes from the end J. Smith sealed the game with a mistake by the Croxley keeper, during a goal kick he passed the ball straight at J. Smith’s feet who subsequently volleyed the ball from 25 metres into the net, 5-3 the final score.Man of the match was hard to choose, J. Smith had a hat trick, A. Gran made some outstanding saves, but it was K. Demetriou who won it for his all round performance throughout the game.

"Bad start for Cassiobury as they found themselves 1 -0 down to an easy goal within 5 minutes.J.smith and J.Noyes tried to equalise with shots on goal but again Cassiobury gave Pinnner an easy route through the middle of their defence, 2-0 down. The game evened out and Cassiobury pushed foward and J.Smith made it 2-1,although not long before Pinner, again, simple balls going past the Cassiobury defence 3-1 .As half time approached Pinner cleared the ball from a Cassiobury attempt and put the ball into their own net 3-2.
Cassiobury heads went up and good work from the fowards including G.Payne,M.Stanley J.Noyes lead to J.Smith running with the ball into the Pinner net,3-3.Again minutes later Cassiobury let yet another simple ball through and it’s 4-3 Pinner.Cassiobury only had an eleven man squad so the team stayed the same for the second half.Second half saw a better start from Cassiobury and again it’s J.smith with a clean strike 4-4.Cassiobury goaie A.Gran made some good saves but as Cassiobury tried to win the game, again they fell behind 5-4.Final score 5-4 to Pinner with Man Of The Match for Cassiobury J.Smith for his all round performance and hat-trick.

The strong wind was the main factor of the first half as Cassiobury found themselves playing up hill with the wind against them.Despite playing good attacking football, both teams trying hard to get the first goal, 25 minutes in Bushey went ahead ,soon after again with the help of the wind behind them it was 2-0 as they scored a curling ball from the corner-flag.G.Payne and T.May had a good shot on goal, but was unlucky as the play quickly went the otherway and Bushey scored again 3-0 just before half time, Cassiobury defended and marked well but were just being caught out by the wind conditions.Second half and Cassiobury had the added help of the downhill play and the wind in their favour, not taking away their determined effort to get back in the game, with only 1 sub and players getting injured they played their ‘socks off’ in the second half. J.Smith scored with a side kick soon after the break 3-1A goal mouth scramble soon after resulted in J. Noyes making it 3-2 Goal of the match came just over half way through the second half as T.May blasted the ball from just outside the area straight into the net 3-3.Cassiobury now had Bushey on the run, minutes from the end M.Stanley scored a goal after a rebounded shoot and for the first time put Cassiobury ahead 4-3.Trying to defend their lead but also pushing for another goal, they were unlucky to concede late and the score ended 4-4 Second half performances were great all round but Man Of The Match went to T.May for a great goal and hard work throughout the game

G Payne chipping the ball from outside the box over the goalies head. 1- 0 Cassiobury within ten minutes. Abbots Langley repeated the above move 1-1 fifteen minutes in.A Gran made a great save as Abbots Langley were gifted a chance, due to the wet pitch causing some interesting play. With twenty minutes gone Cassiobury were awarded a penalty, following a foul in the box after some great passing between K Demetriou, H Flesch and G Payne, who put it away. 2-1.R Shodeinde nearly scored twice, once over the bar and a great back header saved by the Abbots goalie. Just before half term J Smith slid in the third goal. Second half, K Demetriou made it 4-1 after a mistake by the Abbots goalie. The old cliché ‘game of two halves’ summed up this match.Cassiobury started alert and were rewarded with a goal by K. Demetriou within the first 5 minutes, a clean shot on goal. A. Gran worked hard pulling off good saves as Borehamwood started to find their feet after a slow start from them.J. Smith cleared the ball off his own line after the keeper made another great save ,later in the half being denied a goal as he repeated the move in the opponents end this time heading the ball into the top of the net but the referee played on, no goal given.Just before half time Borehamwood scored to equalise and then minutes later took the lead on the stroke of half time. Cassiobury had matched Borehamwood throughout the half and really should have gone to half time equal scores.Second half started fairly even until Borehamwood picked up their game as Cassiobury let their guard slip and the flood gate of goals against them opened, leaving them 8-1 at full time.Man of the match was Cassiobury keeper A. Gran, despite the score line he played his part in keeping the figure down as the rest of the team folded.

J Noyes early shot on goal was the beginning of an eventful afternoon. Both teams started evenly, but Cassiobury were passing the ball well which led to the first goal by J Smith. Good team work enabled Cassiobury to keep most of the possession as they began to dominate the game. K Demetriou making it 2-0. A free kick just before half time by R Shodeinde was taken well but just missed goal. Second half saw Cassiobury continue to pass well, R Shodeinde quickly scored from his corner kick. Minutes later H Flesch found himself in a good position to make it 4-0. J Noyes tried a back header from within the penalty area; D Farrell had a good shot on goal which went just wide to the left. Cassiobury’s confidence was now growing, R Shodeinde shot from outside the box, 5-0. Cassiobury defended their lead well with R Thompson, D Wood, C Whelan, B Gomm working hard and moving the ball forward. J Noyes’ shot on goal was saved but came back to K Demetriou who tapped it in to make it 6-0. K Demetriou had a good chance on goal but went just to the right. R Shodeinde had another couple of good shots on goal before finally making it through their defence for a goal mouth scramble making it 7-0 . Good midfield work saw J Smith suddenly blast the ball towards goal from 30 yards, straight into the middle of the net, giving Brady’s goalie no chance to save it. 8-0. R Shodeinde scored his fourth goal almost walking it in the net, making it 9-0, Cassiobury were now trying to make it double figures. M Stanley had a good shot on goal but was saved. Minutes later J Noyes put the ball through the goalies legs, 10-0. H Flesch hit the side netting, then soon after J Noyes finished the game with a shot from a rebound making it 11-0. Second half both teams started well with Cassiobury having more chances, until a penalty was awarded to Nascot Wood but A. Gran saved this from the spot and on the rebound. This gave Cassiobury more confidence J. Smith and T .May both had good shots on goal and together with good team passing were suddenlyback in the game, with T. May scoring ten minutes from the end. J.Noyes and J.Smith had a late scramble at scoring but could not find the net, with the game ending 1-1. Extra time was needed. Extra time :- A free kick from 25 yards by G.
