We played Borehamwood 2000 for the second time this season today. We had to delay kick off by 30 minutes because of the frost and all the parents a nd parents helps to make the pitch playable by walking on it. Borehamwood started strongly and came close witha shot just past the post and another that R Parker saved. After 10 minutes we got our game together and G Robertson scored two goals and A Hayeem got a third with shots with shots into the corner. We were very pleased because we had been practicing shots in training the day before! In the second half we came close a few times and scored another goal when A Hayeem played a lovely pass to M Softic who scored his first goal for Clarets with a shot at the far post. "We had two goals scored by A Hayeem, it was a bad start because we went down 1-0 with an unlucky deflected goal, we were fighting to come back and had lots of shots blocked by AC Finchleys defenders and goal keeper. In the end we scored with a great equaliser from A. Hayeem. In the second half we put Finchley under pressure but they scored another goal on the break but with moments to go Aiden scored our second goal to draw the game 2-2. It was a great game!!!! M.O.M A. Clarets travelled to AC Finchley on a freezing Sunday morning. We had to play on a really small pitch and the ground was so hard a few of our players fell over! O. Pickard scored twice in the first half and R.Parker saved a penalty to give us our first league win of the season. Well done Clarets!

We faced a strong Finchley Revolution side who are top of the division above us in this League Cup tie. Finchley showed why they are top of the White Division with a strong start grabbing a two goal lead within the first 10 minutes. Clarets regrouped and battled hard to keep the score 0-2 at half time. After a rousing half time team talk from Carl and Scott we started the 2nd half with real determination, closing Finchley down and concentrating on our passing game. After 5 minutes we got our reward by pulling a goal back when A Hayeem's shot beat the keeper. We attacked with even more confidence and mid way through the half A Hayeem scored a deserved equaliser. The game really swung in our favour and we came close on a couple occassions to scoring again. In the last minute Fincley broke and grabbed a late winner. At the end of the match Fincleys coach and parents said we were the best team they had played so far this season!

"Cassiobury Rangers Clarets 0-0 Harvesters South m.o.m. N.Patel The game started well for the Clarets just missing a few chances due to Harvesters strong defence and good goalkeeping. Harvesters counter attacked and were unlucky not to score but our goalkeeper R Parker made some of his legendary good saves. Some of our players were not in their usual positions for this game and we had A. Hayeem playing in defence. I thought he played really well and made some important challenges and some good passes up the pitch. G. Robertson took on 2 players with a skill in midfield but his pass to S. Arnold was blocked by one of the opposition’s defenders. Midfield worked hard with some good passing between A. Wilkinson, S. Arnold, G. Robertson and O.Pickard. O. Pickard had a shot on goal but their goalie made a good save. Harvesters were on the attack again and N.Patel tracked his man and made one of his super tackles. A. Hayeem headed the ball away and a corner kick was given but we closed them down well. Once again Harvesters were on the attack. G. Robertson ran back and cleared the ball twice but Harvesters still got in another shot which was then cleared by N. Patel. J. Olorunfemi was up front as striker and made some lovely moves to pass a couple of players but the opposition was on him and once again our midfielders had to work hard to regain the ball. The second half started quickly. S. Arnold crossed the ball into the penalty area and J. Olorunfemi got in a header which just missed the goal. A. Wilkinson put in one of his strong challenges but unfortunately he was too strong for the opposition and Harvesters were given a free kick. N. Patel cleared the ball for a corner and then got his body in the way and R. Parker was able to gather up the ball. J. Olorunfemi had another attempt on goal and his shot was from outside the area and just went over the bar – what a great effort from our newest team mate. O. Pickard worked hard running all over the place and playing some good passes. The last ten minutes saw G. Robertson in defence who with N.Patel made sure Harvesters weren’t getting through. G. Robertson played a lovely ball up to S. Arnold who worked hard to get passed his man. A. Hayeem was back up front but the match was a tight one and no goals were going in today. The last few minutes saw R. Parker roll the ball out from the goal to G. Robertson who quickly passed to N.Patel who then completed the lovely passing triangle to J. Olorunfemi. Great team work with some great football played. Just how football should be played.

"AEK Youth V Cassiobury Rangers 20th November 2011 We had a 10.30 kick off against AEK Youth, it was a cold and foggy away game. We took center and started the match positively. We were creating chances with S. Arnold coming close to scoring a goal. We also had shots from A. Wilkinson just going wide. Midway through the 1st half, L. Gordon-Brown had a shot on goal which also went just wide, then the whistle blew for the 1st half. The first half was fairly evenly matched. Half time score 0-0 In the 2nd half AEK kicked off and created some chances in front of the goal. L. Gordon-Brown then had a one-on-one against the keeper, but the keeper was quick to come out and collect the ball. AEK then went on to score their 1st goal to make it 1-0. We soon had a corner and J. Olorunfemi shot wide. In our next attack J. Olorunfemi passed the ball to G. Robertson who threaded a pass through to L. Gordon-Brown who scored a goal by nutmeging the keeper. Against the run of play AEK then went on to score another goal, making it 2-1. We took center and put AEK under pressure with S. Arnold and A. Hayeem both coming close to scoring an equaliser. The final score was 2-1. We all worked hard and played well right until the final whistle. It was a very close, evenly matched game and we were unlucky to come away with a defeat. M.O.M:- Well deserved!! S.Arnold. Who covered every blade of grass. Well done Clarets!!!

"We started brightly with captain for the day A Hayeem in defence. We played some lovely passing football. We gave away a corner and didn't close the ball down enough and Edmonton scored. We continued to battle away and a through ball from N Patel for A Wilkinson brought the scores level with a thunderous shot. S Arnold had a good shot saved from a tight angle. A nice pass from J Olorunfemi to G Robertson to A Hayeem almost brought a goal. A nice big shot from L Gordon Brown went just wide of the post and O Pickard picked out some fantastic passes. R Parker made a finger tip save past the post to keep the scores level. A great shot by A Hayeem hit the post snd from the rebound he looked up and crossed it and G Robertson headed onto the crossbar and in for 2-1. In the second half Edmonton levelled at 2-2. Edmonton continued to pressure with some good shots. George laid a lovely pass to Alex to almost score and A Hayeem was denied a shot from the edge of the box by a last ditch tackle. Good chances for both teams ensured a well fought draw. Match report by Aden Hayeem

"Players: R Parker, N Patel, L Gordon-Brown, M Davis, J Olorunfemi, A Hayeem, A Wilkinson, S Arnold, G Robertson We started the game slowly and tried to get our passing game going, but Hadelywood were very quick to close us down. All of a sudden they broke away from one of our attacks and passed the ball from the left to the right and their midfielder hit a powerful shot into the bottom left hand corner. Our first chance came from a throw in – L Gordon-Brown threw the ball to M Davis who passed to J Olorunfemi who passed the ball to A Hayeem, but their keeper came out and cleared the ball. We then had another chance where A Hayeem passed the ball to J Olorunfemi who crossed the ball from the right, but none of our players were in the box to score. We kept going forward trying to score, but all of a sudden Hadleywood broke forward and scored again. Hadleywood then had a corner which L Gordon-Brown headed clear and the ball to M Davis who passed the ball to A Hayeem who ran from the half way line into their area and scored to bring the score to 2-1. We then had another throw in and S Arnold passed to A Hayeem who touched it to G Robertson who tried to lob keeper but the ball just went over the bar. Hadleywood had another chance, but R Parker saved their shot and the ball went out for a corner. Just before half time J Olorunfemi had a chance and his shot hit the cross bar. In the second half we kicked off trying to score another goal. N Patel passed to J Olorunfemi who headed the ball onto G Robertson who pushed forward but their defender cleared the ball. A Hayeem had another chance, but the ball played through by S Arnold was to quick and their keeper came out and cleared for a corner. G Robertson then chested the ball down to J Olorunfemi who hit a first time shot which went just wide. Hadleywood then had another 2 chances which R Parker saved one shot and the other hit the bar. We still tried to get another goal, but they defended very well and we had another corner which was cleared. Our last chance of the match fell to A Wilkinson, but his shot was saved by their goal keeper. Man of the match – A “Hotshot” Hayeem.

We started the match with a Cassiobury kick-off and we started well playing some good football with AJ having some unlucky shots saved by the keeper in great form. But not much later Borehamwood had a cracking goal which was impossible for R. Parker to save. Cassiobury nearly scored from G Robertson corner which hit the post and J Olorunfemi having a great shot that just went wide. In the second half LGordon Brown did a pass to O Pickard who hit the post. Later on G Robertson took a wicked free kick and scored to draw the match. Near the end S Arnold had a shot and missed by a fraction. The free kick king was man of the match.

Cassiobury rangers played against a very good football side Harvesters East and we started without A.Hayeem and M.Davis unfortunately we lost 3-0. They scored the first goal from quiet a long range with a good strike but our goal keeper didn’t have a chance to save it. With the other goal he striked it with a lot of power but it was a lucky goal because R.Parker got his big thumb to it but they still scored. And the third goal was from a corner he crossed it and then it deflected in the goal. Second half we had a corner S.Aronld did a brilliant cross to G.Robertson and his shot just missed. R.Parker did some amazing saves.

"Today Cassiobury Rangers stepped on to the pitch and WON against a very good opposition Whetstone Wanderers Tigers 4-0 with goals from A.Hayeem who scored 3 and M.Davis who scored 1. Our first goal occurred with some great passing from A.Hayeem to M.Davis and a great run from M.Davis and with an awesome shot he scored our first goal! For our second goal A.Hayeem did a very nice run down the right wing and then ran past the opposition players, and then zoomed into the box and tapped the ball into the bottom right corner and did the best celebration our team had ever seen. HOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!! Quickly followed by another spectacular goal 5mins later with passing from the entire team and a great cross by O.Pickard, which was tagged on and scored by A.Hayeem, which equalled our third goal this match. The last goal resulted in a difficult decision for the coaches. A nice pass by N.Patel through to O.Pickard took him flying towards goal. O.Pickard shot and hit the post, and then A.Hayeem slid in to score our last goal of the match. A WICKED performance from the whole team WELL DONE!

"A strong Cassiobury team stepped onto the pitch for a game against rivals Gadeside. We started with G. Robertson in goal, at the back we had L. Gordon-Brown and N. Patel. Through the midfield were S. Arnold, M. Davis, and M. Softic. And last but not least up front we had A. Wilkinson. A. Hayeem was our super sub. Two goals were scored by A .Hayeem both set up by S .Arnold from the left wing. The first goal before half-time. We got a penalty in the first half for M. Davis he narrowly missed the goal. M. Davis kept playing well and was unlucky when he later hit the post with a shot and from the rebound G Robertson hit the cross bar with curling a shot from outside the area. L.Gordon–Brown and N. Patel were determined and safe at the back with G. Robertson showing what a safe goalkeeper he is. A third goal was almost scored by S. Arnold as he shot from the right wing. At half time it was Cassiobury 1-0 Gadeside. The second half started with A. Wilkinson in goal and G. Robertson playing on pitch. We scored again through A. Hayeem with some good build up play. At full time it was Cassiobury 2-0 Gadeside. It was a lucky day for M. Davis as he got a penalty and hit the post and was Man of the match as well. Today we had R. Parker and O. Pickard resting. Gadeside gave us a good match and both teams played very well. By S Arnold

Cassiobury Clarets played AC Finchley South at home on a lovely sunny morning. In the first half we kept up a good standard of passing and tackling. We had a lot of chances to score and were a little unlucky lucky, especially when L. Gordon-Brown played a high ball and A. Wilkinson hand balled to give a free kick to the goal keeper. A few minutes later A. Wilkinson received another pass from L.Gordon-Brown and smashed the ball in the top corner. In the second half AC Finchley South shot very dangerously and R. Parker just tipped the ball on to the post. Then N.Patel sprang down the line with the ball and won a strong 50/50 tackle and G.Robertson pounced on the loose ball shot from distance through the keepers legs. This was a well-balanced match but overall we deserved to win 2 - 0. The MOM was L.Gordon-Brown.

"A strong Cassiobury Clarets played Stevenage Borough in our first ever County Cup match. Despite some fine early saves from R.Parker we were unlucky to be 2 goals down. From a poor drop kick from the Stevenage keeper, A.Hayeem scored a magnificent goal from near the half way line which even Beckam would have been proud of, then a couple of minutes later he hit the crossbar after gliding past the defence. The midfield 3 of G.Robertson, O. Pickard and S.Arnold really started to pass the ball well and caused Stevenage problems. The second half started and Stevenage scored some quick goals, however L.Gordon-Brown, and N.Patel played really well in defence as did A.Wilkinson with his usual strong defending. and M.Softic did some good running up and down the pitch, and also playing easy passes but Stevenage were a stronger team than us and in the end we lost 6-1. S.Arnold was man of the match.

"We started the match quite strongly. The 1st 5 minutes looked hopeful with 2 early corners from O. Pickard and S. Arnold. Whetstone then started attacking and we were caught on the break and conceded our first goal. They then followed this up with 2 more quick goals on the break. There was little R. Parker could do to stop these goals, as it was pretty much 1 on 1. They had superior passing and shortly after that got a 4th goal. Half time score 4-0 In the 2nd half we definitely improved, and only conceded 1 goal-to a penalty. Our passing improved and we held our positions. We made some good tackles and pushed the ball up several times, but struggled to get past their defense. They did not give us much opportunity on the ball, and we did not manage to get close enough to make any strong attempts on goal. We all worked hard until the end, and didn’t give up until the final whistle. We were all clearly tired from a long week of matches and training, and Whetstone were a strong team. It was a disappointing result, but good to learn from. Well done Clarets!!!

"Score: Muswell Hill Colts 0 – 10 Cassiobury Rangers Clarets
The Game:
First half started off well. We attacked at the start of the whistle. It was the oppositions kick off and we were going up hill. We passed the ball around the Muswell defence and A. Hayeem had a shot which just went wide. Their goal keeper had a very good kick so we had to get back quick. We got the ball from L. Gordon-Borwns defensive header and the ball was passed through the team to A. Hayeem who took a shot at goal and scored. Muswell Hill started from the centre and straight away our midfielder G. Robertson closed them down to pass the ball to M.Softic who did some tricky footwork to get past the oppositions midfield. Within a few minutes A. Wilkinson got us a 2nd goal on his first game back with us. Muswell Hill had a free kick which N. Patel cleared shortly after Muswell Hill attacked and our defender N.Patel did well to clear it. L. Gordon-Brown with his massive kick booted the ball up to G.Robertson who passed up to A. Hayeem who got his 2nd goal of the evening making it 3 – 0 to us. Straightaway Muswell Hill had a fantastic shot which R.Parker made a professional dive to tap it wide. The whistle blew for half time.
The second half saw R.Parker come out on pitch to play in the midfield and A. Wilkinson put on the goalie gloves. We played like the Spanish with quick passing moves and were soon shooting at goal again but the Muswell goalkeeper made a number of good saves. But within 30 seconds or so R. Parker ran through their defence and scored, making it 4-0. Muswell did a few nice passes but couldn’t stop L. Gordon-Brown knocking in the back of the net for our 5th goal. Not long after R. Parker got a great 2nd goal and the 6th of the night. We were soon on the attack again, G. Robertson was passed the ball and headed towards goal, their goalkeeper came and dived for the ball but missed it and took G. Robertson out giving us a penalty. G. Robertson placed the ball on the spot and confidently smashed it into the left corner making it 7 – 0. Not long after their defence were trying to close us down but gave away a free kick which G. Robertson took and scored his 2nd goal of the night making it 8 - 0. The passing from every team member was fantastic and we were playing well. N. Patel pushed forward as the game was all up the other end and the ball scrambled to A. Hayeem who slotted it through to G. Robertson who tapped the ball in nicely to get a hat trick and the 9th goal for the team. L. Gordon-Brown and N. Patell made sure our defence was solid throughout the whole game and A.Wilkinson had nothing to do in this half. Not long before the end of the game M. Softic played the ball through to A. Hayeem who smashed the ball in the back of the net to get himself a hat trick and our 10th goal of the night.

We started our match brightly and played our passing football very well for the first 5 minutes in the other teams half. Hadley Wood then attacked us with their first attack and as we didn't clear the ball quick enough this allowed them to score from a shot from the edge of the area. We took centre and went on the attack again and O. Pickard had a good shot at goal which was deflected wide by the Hadley Wood defender. O. Pickard took the corner quickly and made a pass to L. Gordon-Brown who was by the edge of the area and L. Gordon-Brown first time shot looped over the goalkeeper to bring us level at 1-1. From the Hadley Wood centre we defended again and made lots of tackles and tried to play the ball out to our wingers G. Robinson, M. Davis and M. Softic. We had lots of chances, but their goalkeeper made some great saves and from one of his goal kicks our midfield got the ball and passed it into their half. The ball was then played to O. Pickard who was inside their penalty area and he scored to put us 2-1 ahead. From their centre we again attacked , but they tackled us and ran into our half very quickly and one of their players had another shot from outside our area which took a big bounce just in front of our keeper and bounced into our goal so the score was 2-2. From our centre again we still passed the ball trying to move our play left to right to score another goal. M.Softic then passed the ball to S. Arnold and he shot from outside the area and the ball went over their goal keeper to give us a 3-2 lead at half time. In the second half they attacked us more and Ryan made 2 good saves. They then hit the post from another attack. We then attacked their goal and M. Davis took a pass in their penalty area and scored to make the score 4-2 to us. They then kept trying to attack our goal but everyone helped L. Gordon-Brown and N. Patel in defending very well including our striker for the day S. Arnold who kept running back with our Midfielders G. Robertson, O. Pickard , M. Davis and M. Softic to make sure we won the game.
